When thinking of a new, slightly different blog post to write for my blog I realised that I’ve never delved into my phone. I’m just going to say now, don’t get offended, but I don’t use folders. I like all of my apps out where I can see them and I like all the colours on my home screen. I also have all the original apps on the bottom because they’re the ones that I use the most. I have a few old games on my phone but I never seem to get rid of them just in case I want to play them again (which never happens). In fact there are plenty of apps that I used to be obsessed with that I no longer use, like Afterlight, the photo editing app. I even PAID for this one, I know tragic. I used to use this for all of my photo needs but now I just use the IPhone editing in photos. I think I need to get rid. Here are a few of my favourite apps at the minute:
Plant Nanny– My absolute favourite app of the moment. Basically it’s an onscreen plant that you feed every time you have a glass of water. If you don’t drink, you don’t feed your plant and your plant dies. It’s made me realise that I don’t drink anywhere near enough the water I need to drink in a day so it’s done wonders for my hydration. Hooray for hydration!
Merged– It’s a very hard to thing explain but I’ll try. It’s a game where you have to match up numbered squares and score as many points as you can. Just trust me on this and download it because it’s really addictive and fun!
Instagram– Instagram is my favourite of all the social medias. I could flick through the popular page all day and am not satisfied if I don’t get to the bottom of my feed. I need to see everything. Cheeky plug my instagram is @abzisfabz and I’m always looking for new people to follow! My favourite things to see are pretty makeup posts, art and cooking videos and extremely cute dogs!
Any apps that you can recommend please let me know!
Last Wednesday my life changed forever, dramatic I know but it’s true. I’ve been getting really bored with Netflix recently because I’ve exhausted all the series’ I wanted to watch and just wanted to get into something really juicy. Then Pretty Little Liars popped up on screen and it was love at first episode. I love the characters, the story, the drama it’s just all too much! As of writing this post (Wednesday) I’m on episode 5 of series 3 and to say I’ve had two days off it works out that I’ve watched 51 episodes in 5 days, which if I’ve done the Maths correctly is 38 hours and 25 minutes worth of programming. It’s not as if I even have that much free time! Someone send help.
Since I”ve been obsessing over this series I thought it would be a good time to update my ‘what to watch on Netflix list’. If you’d like to read my previous post click here, let’s go:
- Orange is the new black– I know, late on the band wagon. I have no idea why I put off for so long but I felt like I’d missed out on a lot when I started. Parts are a little bit close to the edge but you just get sucked in and when you’re hungover from a heavy night it is definitely a good remedy, believe me I know.
- The Paradise– On the last day of first term, just before I went home for Christmas, and I watched the entire of series one that night…sad I know. I’m a fan of period drama type programmes so if that’s your thang I’d recommend it. Really easy watching.
- Merlin– I was a Merlin watcher from the very first episode right to the end and I was a huge fan… until series 5 but judge for yourselves on that one. Now that Netflix has all of the series I can’t wait to re-watch them all (except series 5, I’d never put myself through that again).
- The Inbetweeners– It doesn’t matter how many times I watch these episodes they are just as hilarious! Funny and cringey, everyone should watch this at least once but I can guarantee, one episode and you’ll be hooked.
Sometimes there is nothing better than a good smelling moisturiser or perfume. I think that especially in the older months snuggling under a blanket with a nice hot drink and smelling a festive candle burning in the corner. Since in my new house we can’t have candles in case we burn the place down (which in my case would be highly likely) I’ve had to think of other ways to keep the autumnal scents alive.
One of my favourite scents is coconut and to me it reminds me more of the colder months than it does of summer. I have the Coconut body butter from the Body Shop and I think it has to be one of my favourites of all time. Not just in creaminess and how soft it makes your legs, but the smell stays around for so long! I’ll walk downstairs and my housemates will say “Oooh something smells nice” and it will be my legs. Classy.
One of my housemates went on holiday to Florida over the summer and very kindly brought us all back a Victoria Secret spray which was VERY nice! I got the Enchanted Apple scent and ass soon as I sprayed it it reminded me of a Mary-Kate and Ashley perfume I had once upon a time that I was absolutely in love with. Memories! I spray it all over my clothes during the day and on my pillows at night so when I’m sleeping at night it’s all I can smell.
